In chapter 7, Holden ran away from his room, and he went to the Ackley’s room. Ackley already know fought Stradlater and Holden, Holden want to sleep for Ely’s bed in Ackley room. Because of Ely did not stay Ackley’s room. At the first time, Ackley did not want to sleep Holden in Ely’s room. Finally, Holden suck up to Ackley, so he accept Holden’s request. Holden lie down on the bed, and he think about Stradlater and Jane. Holden think that tey are enjoying love. Holden suddenly decide about run away from school, because Holden was so impress. So he went to the outside.
In chapter 8, Holden went to train station. The reason of station is deep in the night. In empty train, unknown woman sit down next to Holden. He likes this situation, because Holden likes girl. At that time, woman told him, “Are you student of Pencey high school?” Holden answer is “yes”. As soon as, the woman says,” Do you know Erenst Morrow? He is my son.” Ernest Morrow’s parents worried for their son. Because his personality timid. Ernest Morrow was treated as an outcast in pencey high school. However, Holden did not tell her about fact of Ernest Morrow. So Holden have to white lie. Holden told to Ernest Morrow’s parents what Morrow is almost elected class representative.
During we read chapter 7 and 8 we think about our adolescence. Our adolescence was very similar like Holden’s adolescence behavior. For example YuSu he couldn’t go school and Kyung Wan he couldn’t go home. Know we all escape adolescence, so see the senior position Holden has to come out adolescence quickly.

In chapter 8, Holden were doing lie to Morrow's mother. If I were Holden, I said true for his son. Because, Morrow had problem in the school. If I said ture something, his mother solve this problem. Also, I think that Morrow's mother is irresponsibility to Morrow. she did not know about son. That result, son became outcast.

DeleteShe is a Morrow's mother so, it is sure that she have to know about her son. I agree part of your opinion but, I think that you don't have to say all the trues. That's why sometimes white lie is good for feeling. Thus, I think that Holden considered her mind and spoke white lie. In addition, I wonder why you express the happen which she didn't know about her son results in son became outcast.

DeleteIn chapter 7, Ackley is really irritation peron because Ackley know Ely does not come back Ackley's room, but Ackley said " I don't know when he come back.". Next, Ackley continue question about fight Stradlater and Holden. In this context, I think Ackely is irritation person.
ReplyDeleteIf i were Holden I also think fight is not good for relationship. So I will solve the problem another way. And I think Holden did well to Morrow's mother. The white lie is good sometimes. If I were a that situation, I will also tell a lie to her.

DeleteHolden lies has not problem. Because Morrow's mother expectaion her son has a problem. After day something problem to get them. But now Holden actvity is good for both of them. No one hurt because Holden good lie.
Sometimes tell the lie is good.
If i am holden, i will come back to stradlater's room and talking about fight deeply with few beer. Any problem can finish without fight. morrow parents are not strange most parent worry their kid. If i be holden, i will use white lie to morrow's parents as holden said.
